These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Scan2Call (scan2call.com.au), a smart QR tag service operated by ZTEC Group Pty Ltd (ABN 82 697 931 445). By creating an account, purchasing a tag, or using the service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with these terms, do not use the service.
Scan2Call provides physical QR tags and an online platform that lets anyone who finds your tagged item contact you without seeing your phone number or personal details. Communication is relayed through our infrastructure via voice calls, SMS, WhatsApp messages, and location sharing, subject to the contact options you enable per tag.
You must provide accurate information when registering, including a valid Australian mobile number verified by SMS code. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old, or use the service under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
Scan2Call QR tags are paid products with a service period, priced per year. Key terms:
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Physical products are shipped to the address you provide at checkout. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including remedies for faulty products. Change-of-mind refunds for unused tags may be offered at our discretion; contact [email protected].
You must not use Scan2Call to:
To protect users, we monitor relay usage for abuse. We record the IP address (and, where available, phone number) of parties who initiate relay communications, as described in our Privacy Policy, and we may block phone numbers or IP addresses that we reasonably believe are abusing the service. We may also suspend accounts that breach these terms.
The relay is designed to keep both parties' phone numbers private, but we cannot guarantee the identity, intentions, or conduct of any person who scans a tag or initiates contact. Exercise the same caution you would with any contact from an unknown person. Scan2Call is not a party to, and is not responsible for, arrangements made between finders and owners (such as meeting to return an item).
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Relay communication depends on third-party networks (including Twilio and mobile carriers) that are outside our control. Scheduled maintenance and factors beyond our reasonable control may cause temporary outages.
The Scan2Call name, logo, website, and software are owned by ZTEC Group Pty Ltd or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from the platform except as permitted by law. You retain ownership of content you upload (such as tag photos) and grant us a licence to host and display it as needed to provide the service.
To the extent permitted by law, and subject to any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for the affected tag or service in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss arising from a lost item not being recovered.
You can close your account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with notice where practicable. Fees already paid are non-refundable on termination for breach, except as required by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
We may update these terms from time to time; material changes will be announced on this page with an updated date. Questions about these terms: [email protected].
